Based on feedback from the staff and community meetings and the profile assessment forms they received, the superintendent search firm will present a profile of desirable characteristics of the next superintendent that will be used to publicize the job opening and recruit candidates.
The profile will be shared with the school board at a public meeting on Tuesday, November 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the school board meeting room, 12111 NE First Street, Bellevue, WA 98005.
The presentation will be videotaped and streamed from the BSD405.org website on Wed. November 26.

Regarding the "consider insiders" question below, based on my experience with insiders at BSD, please do not consider insiders please. We need someone totally fresh.

Answer: Yes, while we will recruit widely, there are numerous individuals within our district who have very capable leadership skills. Just recently four different larger districts surrounding us have all done nationwide searches and hired from within.
